WELCOME

Moving Minds is a not-for-profit creative health organisation that uses dance and performance to illuminate the often-unseen realities of physical and mental health.

Working at the intersection of creativity and care, we collaborate with communities, healthcare professionals, artists, and researchers to co-create performances, films, exhibitions, and artworks. From chronic illness to neurodivergence and trauma, our projects make the invisible visible, challenging stigma and sparking deeper understanding.

Our bespoke arts programmes and performances act as catalysts for cultural change. By applying artistic methods to health challenges, we inspire empathy, reframe narratives, and advocate for a more imaginative, inclusive, and compassionate approach to care.

I cannot speak highly enough about Moving Minds.  Mum really enjoyed the session – having tried numerous groups which she hasn’t engaged with.  It really felt like we had got her back, she was so animated & revitalised .  What Moving Minds does is gold dust –
I can’t thank you enough.

Beyond Words

Dance is powerful in its ability to connect us with others, with our environment, and with ourselves.  Dancing allows us to form and reform our individual and collective identities, to experience ourselves as and in, a process of 'becoming'.

For people living with a particular health conditions, dance can be, not just life-enhancing, but life-changing.

As a creative health organisation our aim is to provide dance and creative movement provision across several community venues for disabled people, people with chronic conditions and mental health issues.  Moving Minds works in partnership with people living with these and other conditions, their families and carers, purposefully co-creating an environment that fosters belonging, reciprocity and agency.
